Phase Three: Reinforce The Connection

Reinforce The Connection

Capturing and sharing the results of these discussions improves knowledge management and encourages continuous learning. It helps celebrate success and achievement, recognising local heroes and changing and embedding behaviours.

The sharing of stories and ideas generates a great collective energy that has a positive effect on performance, allowing people to be heard and their input valued.

StoryWeb, our special web-based application that enables people to capture and share stories effortlessly is an ideal tool to facilitate this process, supported by existing channels of communication and special campaigning materials such as postcards, posters, booklets, podcasts and awards.

Review and Learn

With a collective Story to tell, the organisation needs to sustain engagement in the journey. Leaders and managers will re-group, usually in focus groups or at a single event, to review the programme to date, identify areas of success and where a change of approach may be required.

The Living Story

The Living Story is the new version of the story - the next chapter - adjusted and shaped according to progress made since the initial launch of the Story. Now is a time for re-focus, re-alignment and adjustment, where a new StoryMap is co-created by the senior leadership team, ready to be brought to life, the connection made and turned into action throughout the organisation as before.

And as the new StoryMap is re-launched, the programme’s shape will be informed by what has worked well, what has changed, where success has shone through and what can be done to build on this success.
