What we do
Our innovative, practical programme helps connect people at every level in the journey the business is on. We align the senior leadership team behind the journey, then equip and train leaders and managers to personalise and bring the story to life for their own teams. We show them how to make the connection - to explore the journey looking at it through the lens of their function or area of the business, then to identify the role that individuals and teams can play in the journey. We help them share their stories, experiences, knowledge and ideas to demonstrate progress and celebrate success. We help change the way they think and work and shape a collective vision of the future. A constantly evolving, ‘Living Story’, articulated by the senior team but co-created and co-owned by the whole organisation.
Our programme is made up of three phases: Initial Engagement, Building The Story and Creating The Living Story - each with its own set of special tools and storytelling techniques.
The first step is to convert complex strategy into a simple and compelling narrative behind which we will align the senior leadership team – the StoryMap. This is a framework, co-created by the senior leadership team as part of a powerful alignment process, which, in clear and simple language, helps people learn about and understand the journey the business or brand needs to make. We will then give the StoryMap a powerful visual identity that connects to the brand, its values and business culture.
Having created the Story, we’ll engage the leadership team and bring the story to life through human stories, proof points and killer facts from within the business. We’ll show them how to personalise and bring the story to life with their own teams, interpreting the story in a way that’s relevant to their function and turning priorities into action. We’ll equip them with creative tools that will give them inspiration and confidence as they start to hold regular, meaningful discussions with their teams to explore the story.
These sessions will be used to own and build a story that is relevant to their team or region, sharing experiences, stories, learnings and ideas for different or better ways of working in response to the master Story. Using special tools and techniques, we are able to capture and share the results of these discussions, campaigning them throughout the business to celebrate ‘heroes’, demonstrate progress, provide vital feedback and learning to the leadership team.
Using this feedback, we’ll help the Senior Leaders build The Living Story – a new version of the StoryMap to keep the drumbeat of the strategy and vision going, and to re-focus on new priorities as the journey evolves. And to keep it refreshed and alive, the Story will be fed by more and more inspirational stories as they flow through the business, ready to re-engage the organisation once more.
We call this three-phase programme The Wave. Constantly building and evolving. Completely sustainable.
